The circuit is mainly based on 24 V MOS SSI and MSI ICs (Small Scale, Medium Scale Integration) from the manufacturers NEC and Hitachi. Used types are
- µPD116 C
- µPD13 C
- µPD101 C
- µPD106
- HD3103
- HD3104
- HD3106
- HD3107 or HD713 M
- HD3112
The power supply unit provides 3 operating voltages, 24 V stabilized for the logic, 120 V and 225 V for the Nixie display.
Successors were the Casio calculators AS-B and AS-C
Der elektronische Tischrechner Casio AS-A (Europa) bzw. 121-A (USA) wurde 1969 in Japan vorgestellt.
