The UE64 is an AC/DC operated, 6-tube, BC and SW band receiver. Uses ballast tube L42C. This is the E version that has magic eye tuning.
The updated U & UE model schematic (Rider's Vol. 9, p. 9-2) is very similar to the earlier U model schematic (Rider's Vol. 8, p. 8-16). Both versions use the same parts, however the eye tube is wired differently in the updated models.
Also note that the model names were clarified: the updated U models now have no magic eye, and the UE models have magic eye; much less confusing than the prior U models where the with and without magic eye models were all U models.
Also uses a Bias Cell.
