An all mains superhet 5-valve receiver which incorporates a single valve oscillator detector followed by a variable-mu intermediate amplifier, screened grid second detector and a power pentode output valve, with a valve rectifier. It has a mains energised moving coil speaker. There is illuminated single dial tuning calibrated in wave lengths of 200-550 and 1,000-2,000 metres. It is fitted with a combined volume control and on-off switch. Sockets and switch are provided for a gramophone pick-up, and a mains aerial which enables the more powerful stations to be received without an external aerial. Price in 1933 13 guineas.
