Short Wave from 5.7 to 18.3 MHz - Broadcast from 540 to 1725 kHz. Model 5589 is the console version of the 589 with tone control added and all controls on the front. The Crosley model 5589 was sold (out) by Lafayette under the model No. B-5589-M for $ 19.25. What a price difference! It has the same cabinet as the model B5579M which has only medium wave. This model features 5 push buttons for station selection. It is housed in a walnut veneer cabinet.
The folder for battery radios 1939/40 shows the models B429A, B449A, B459A, B579A, B589A, B6579D and the console models B5579M and B5589M (but without the 439).
