The Crosley Fiver Compact Louver Front 517, Cabinet 7B (early) is part of a family of Crosley 517, 547, and 5517 radios. The chassis is metal with a louver-style molded Bakelite front to conceal the speaker grill. The model comes in three color options: a brown case with a brown Bakelite front, a bronze case with a black Bakelite front, and a silver-gray case with a black Bakelite front.
