Yellow metal shell and barrel-shaped lifeboat radio transmitting on two fixed radiotelegraphy (A2) frequencies of 500 and 8364 kHz, and with receiver range of 490-410 kHz and 8265-8765 kHz.

The round cover of the radio is attached to the lower part with four wing nuts on the edges.

There is a bent metal handle on top of the lid. Inside the barrel-shaped lower part is a watertight box-like radio, with the radio's black controls and the manufacturer's plate on one side. A two-part carrying belt made of thick fabric is attached to the two sides of the box. The other part of the belt has a metal buckle. Inside the barrel-shaped shell is a loose green cloth bag with a small box-like antenna part.

A string earth connection (water connection) and a antenna, with insulators and attachment grip, is coiled up in the container cover, for fastening to a mast appr. 6 meters in height. Also an artificial antenna for testing the equipment.

Inside the shell are headphones that attach to the radio, as well as plastic installation and operating instructions. The operating and installation instructions are also in Finnish.
