Brief technical details
PCB assembly reference: D-220V1.1 20240510
The radio uses an unmarked DSP chip (U2) but likely it is a Si4825A10 DSP tuner, as it use the same pinout. The RF front-end uses two 2SC3356-R25 NPN RF transistors and dedicated BPFs, where (Q1) serves the SW and (Q2) serves the FM band. The MW magnetic antenna is connected passively to the DSP thru the mechanical band selector switch.
The telescopic antenna feeding the common input for the FM/SW RF front-ends is protected by a A7/BAV99 diode set (D1). Some initial production batches, despite using the same PCB revision, do not have this diode installed.
A D2822M audio power amplifier (U1) drives the speaker.
See the previous D-219 portable model that uses the same chipset, but featuring nine SW bandspreads.
