This model has an unusual cabinet design in the form of a small console. The main body of the cabinet is made of plastic covered steel and the top part is bakelite. The controls and dial are on the top facing upwards. This model is sometimes referred to by collectors as the "boomerang" due to its shape looking from above.
Advertising indicates this radio was also available as a dual band, battery model.
