Designed to operate specific Eddystone receiver models from a six-volt accumulator.
Model 687 is suitable for the 640, 710 and 740 receivers.
Model 687/1 is suitable for the 750, 888 and 888A receivers, which have balanced heaters.
The output cables terminate in octal plugs matching the sockets on the receivers.Consists of a non-synchronous vibrator, transformer, 6X5G rectifier and RF filtering but not smoothing as this is provided in the receivers.
