Phonograph Home B Repetition Device

The Home model "B", like other models, lasted from the end of 1905 to 1908. It was contained in a simple dark oak case and was limited (except in the first examples) to bearing the simple writing "Edison", in replacement of the processed brand. The hook of the end grille is of a different shape and much shorter than in the "A" model. The repeater device of this example is a special accessory, which automatically lifts the player from the cylinder at the end, returns it to the initial position and lowers it again; the number of repetitions is limited only by the operating time of the spring, or by the listener's patience.

Era contenuto in una semplice cassa di quercia scura e si limitava (fuorchè nei primi esemplari) a riportare la semplice scritta "Edison", in sostituzione del marchio elaborato. Il gancio della griglia terminale è di forma diversa e assai più corto che nel modello "A". Il congegno di ripetizione di questo esemplare è un accessorio speciale, che solleva automaticamente il riproduttore dal cilindro all'estremità, lo riporta nella posizione iniziale e lo riabbassa; il numero di ripetizioni è limitato solo dal tempo di funzionamento della molla, o dalla pazienza dell'ascoltatore.
