A battery powered portable transistor radio covering MW (185-666 metres) and LW (1150-2000 metres). It incorporates an RF amplifier which is coupled to the internal ferrite rod aerial tuned circuits which works when the 'CAR' push button is depressed and when a car aerial is connected. Sockets for a car aerial and for connection to a tape recorder. Elliptical loudspeaker 7 x 3⅝ inch.
Similar to the PYE 1373 and Ferranti 5503 models.
