  • Notes
  • An FXR  portable transistorized standing wave amplifier, designed to be used with internal rechargable batteries (to avoid mains noise) or AC mains. Its specially designed meter and linear amplifier give a full scale maximum error at 5dB of only ±0.05dB. Its calibrated range is 75 dB. Normal, expanded and compressed meter scales are provided and can be used interchangeably without the need for readjustment of the gain control. With special circuits for bolometer protection and a meter display for bolometer resistance checking and current adjustment. Other features include controls and circuits for selective meter damping, bandwidth, frequency selection and peaking, range adjustment in 5dB steps, and battery voltage checking.
