  • SAMS Photofact, date 3-60, set 478, folder 9 features the Emerson models 868 and 869 as the same schematic.

    Emerson installed terminals for two (2) 9-volt batteries (large Eveready #276 batteries) for this radio but informed the listener, on the interior label, that the radio will work with just one battery instead of two.   This radio plays very well with one battery.  Civil Defense marks found on station dial
