Frontally, on the left, power on/off and volume knob and, below, tone low or high selector switch; on the right, the scale, vertical; a red tuning indicator is located under the scale. On the right side is the tuning knob and on the left side the socket for the power cable. On the upper side, band selector and telescopic antenna, external at rest, rotatable only in one plane, five sections, 63,5 cm. On the rear side, earphone jack, mains voltage selector switch and access to the battery compartment.
Rigid, partially plastic-coated metal handle with full travel. Made in Singapore.
The measurements take into account the protrusions and the weighing is without batteries.
Twin device of the Sanyo 7160UM. The differences are in the front part, with the underlining of the speaker and in the red tuning indicator LED, located at the bottom of the scale.
