Dictation machine, crank shift operated turntable, operates with 2 x >Ever Ready Radio Battery Batrymax B114< (combined L.T. & H.T.).The late 1940s & early Emidicta machines are magnetic recording on a thin flexible disk, not gramophone mechanical groove modulation, though the central disk may provide tracking of the magnetic head via a stylus in the groove and linkage.
