  • The 3-speed turntable Empire Troubador 208 is the first version of a series of Troubador turntables made by Empire.

    It is also part of later combination models such as the Troubador 398 wich consists of a model 208 turntable, a model 980 tone-arm and a model 880p cartdrige.

    The specifications are given by the manufacturer with

    • neoprene-impregnated belt with thickness tolerance of ± .0005 inch

    Model 208 uses a Pabst hysteresis synchronous motor to drive the platter with an external (visible) belt.
