  • Very large rectangular battery pack for "skeleton" lanterns. The lamp and handle screws on the top. The last version lamps used "blown" plastic.

Contains equivalent of 2 x 996 in parallel. i.e. EIGHT "F" cylindrical Zinc Carbon cells in Series/Parallel. About 20 000 mAH capacity. Size excludes terminals.

The AD3 battery pack (240+ hours in all All Dry Portables) used in 1939 has the same number of "F" cells, as has the 1954 B137  Super capacity pack (About 500 hours in Sky Prince and 200 hours in Sky Monarch AM/FM). Both have 90V too via 60 x U10/B and 4 x 15 stacks of Layer cells. The Eveready 745 Radio "A" pack used 8 x F cells in parallel.

    PJ991, 1231, 918, 4R25-2C, 4R25-2P, EV131, MN918, Big Lantern, Double Lantern, Lantern 6V (Big).

An earlier "frame" lantern of similar size used 2 x Lead Acid cells in a metal frame.
