  • The PP4  is sole cylindrical  type with connection at each end.

    The PP series are all layer cells, often 4  or 6 stack of exact type used in "Batrymax"/"Radio Batteries HT packs (typically 4 x stacks of 15 "biscuit" style cells). There never was a PP2.

    Connection type: a PP9 style snap at each end

    The earliest version was almost octagonal being square cross-section with very rounded corners and possibly 25 x 50 x 25 mm ( 1 x 2 x 1 inch) and the last version was cylindrical. The dimensions listed are excluding connectors. The 50mm may include connectors.
