- The model 171 uses the DC version of the FADA KO-C chassis. The same chassis serves for model 171 and model 173 (see Rider's schematic). The FADA model KO-C is often written as KOC - so we have to have both in the model name field.
See also the AC versions: There are several versions - depending on the cabinet number. Rider's shows the following for the same schematic: model 51 (KO), 53 and 57 (KOC). They have 4 tuned RF circuits (like the DC models) but only another 3 tuned IF circuits. One is untuned. Stein dates 1932, but it is already in the first Rider's, page 88C (and in volume 1 as FADA 1-30), but not in Gernsback from 1930.
