    Audio Jacks
    for headphones or loudspeaker:

LH Jack:  When used the filaments on RF, Detector and first audio tube will turn on.The theory is that there is enough volume from nearby stations to run either the headphones or the speaker and enough volume from the long-distance stations to run the headphones. This will conserve power as the second audio tube is not turned on.

RH Jack: This jack is used for listening to long distant stations. When plugged in, the 2nd audio is activated.
