The Federal Model 143 uses the same chassis as the Federal Model 141 in a larger console style cabinet with built-in horn speaker and battery storage compartment.The chassis uses 5-UV01-A tubes, 2-RF, Detector, 2-AF.Circuit is regenerative (possibly not claimed so to avoid patent hassles)...Front panel control labelled AMPLIFICATION CONTROL is the regeneration controlvia RF amplifier grid bias adjustment.3 internal rheostats are for RF, Detector & AF tube filament rheostats.2 big knobs on the front panel are for the antenna and interstage RF tuning capacitors.
