  • The electric motor for the turntable was a unique 78RPM Syncronous motor that had to be started by hand. These,and the motors for the wire recorders, were made by Mr. Gilbert "Pop" Johnston of Beaulah Park in his garage foundry.

    The pickup arm and head featured three adjustable feet on the twin ball-bearing pivot and telescopic rigid arms with the head pivoted at the end. Magnetic type pickups featured a grape seed, oil damped stylus.
