- Firestone began selling non-automobile radios in the Fall 1936. These radios were normally manufactured by Stewart Warner. The model 7405-1 (4 tubes) is the smallest of the family for 1936/37, followed by 7405-2 (5 tubes) and 7405-3 (7 tubes) in size. The model 7405-3 has a 6 inch illuminated airplane dial. Automatic tone control, "automatic antenna system", bass compensation and power line filter. The model 7405-3 is made in walnut, has 4 knobs and the 6G5 as magic eye (photo-eye-tuner). Price was 42.50 $ for this "7 Tube All Wave".
