  • Notes
  • This radio was produced by Bendix for the 1960 Ford Edsel Model autos. Civil Defense markings appear as small red triangles at the 640 and 1240 kHz positions on the dial.

    The radio has five push buttons. The LHS shaft is dual on - off volume plus tone control. The RHS shaft is for manual tuning only.

    The circuit has four tubes for the RF and IF areas while the AF is provided by a driver transistor 2N1287 and an output transistor 2N1227. Both are PNP.

    The model number code is as follows:
    0 = 1960
    4 = number of tubes
    B = manufactured by Bendix
    E = used for the Edsel brand
