  • Notes
  • The new Freed-Eisemann Six Valve Shielded Receiver, the N.R.9, gives you forty or fifty stations in the purest tone imaginable and at full loudspeaker strength.

The neutrodyne circuit ensures that it cannot oscillate, shriek, or howl, and the British and foreign stations just slide in and slide out as you slowly rotate the tuning knob. The absolute selectivity of the N.R.9 amazes people who, when listening to foreign programmes, have had to put up with a chattering background from other stations. The programmes always come in pure and unimpeded with the new Freed-Eisemann. The. N.R.9 is undoubtedly the one set for music lovers who have discriminating taste for tone quality and desire to select their music from the choicest European programmes.

The set has three stages of Neutrodyne tuned radio frequency, one of which is inductively tuned; it is completely metal shielded and is equipped with the Freed-Eisemann "Inductor,' an exclusive feature which guarantees extraordinary selectivity and provides for increased amplification on high wavelengths.
The tuning ranges are from 200 to 550 metres and from 1,000 to 2,000 metres. The cabinet is fine toned mahogany, and the controls are mounted on a handsomely embossed metal plate.

It costs £25 inclusive of royalties. Valves and batteries extra.

MW & LW version of the US NR-9.

    Made in the USA.
