The Wuerth Tube Saver is a surge protector that reduces initial current surges when equipment (radios, televisions, audio equipment) are turned on. The equipment plugs into the tube saver, which in turn is plugging into the AC outlet.
A later Wuerth model 5303 was sold by GC Electronics.
