This mixer is used in the 6 GHz receiver of the GEC-AEI SHF, Broadband Radio Relay Equipment SPO 5558.
The Magic Tee Balanced Mixer Is a 4-port waveguide device used in microwave receivers to mix the incoming receiver RF frequency and local oscillator frequency to produce an IF frequency of 70 MHz.
The mixing is performed by two Schottky Barrier diodes which are mounted λ/4 from the short-circuited end of each wave guide port.
