  • The General Electric 455A is an AC/DC operated 5 tube BC band receiver. BC band frequency range is 540 to 1600kHz. Has internal loop antenna. Cabinet color is Brown.

    This model (455A) has a different chassis and antenna compared to model 455S, but cabinet and appearance are the same.

    Note: The tuning knob is captivated to the cabinet and cannot be removed without first removing the chassis!

    The following models use the same schematic and cabinet but have different cabinet colors.  The 455 model has a slightly different cabinet back and loop antenna assembly.
