Die Gegentaktendstufe arbeitet ohne zusätzliche Phaseninverterstufe. D.h. die Phasenumkehr findet in der Endstufe selbst statt (selfsplit, selfbalancing). Hierfür arbeitet die zweite 6V6 in Gitterbasisschaltung. In dieser Schaltungstechnik ist lediglich A-Betrieb möglich, so dass die Ausgangsleistung auf ca. 8 Watt beschränkt ist.
Die "frühe" Variante wurde nur bis 1953 gebaut. Das spätere Modell (ab 1953) hat eine 12AX7 statt der 6SJ7 in der Vorstufe und beide 6V6 sind nur parallel geschaltet (eintakt).

The negative end stage operates without an additional phase inverter stage. That is, The phase inversion takes place in the output stage itself (selfsplit, selfbalancing). For this purpose, the second 6V6 operates in grid-based circuitry. In this circuit technology, only A-operation is possible, so that the output power is limited to approximately 8 watts.
The "early" variant was built only until 1953. The later model (starting from 1953) has a 12AX7 instead of the 6SJ7 in the pre-stage and both 6V6 are only connected in parallel (one-act).
