The Wattmeter, utilizing the electrodynamic principle (current coil and voltage coil) is suitable for power line application. The voltage section has taps for 50 V, 100 V, 200V, and 400 V, whereas the current section is geared for 1,25 A, 2,5 A, and 5 A. Thus maximum measurable power is 2 kW. The wattmeter belongs to the same generation of Gossen instruments as the wooden-box-Voltmeter on display elsewhere in Radiomuseum.
