  • This is the second version of the Grebe RORD vacuum tube detector /2-Stage Audio Amplifier. This version of the Grebe RORD had the rheostat windings moved to the backside of the front panel. Sometime in 1921 Grebe redesigned the early rheostat assembly to use a thumb wheel for adjustment and windings behind the front panel in a semi circle. The RORD was typically paired with such tuners/receivers as the Grebe CR-2 or CR-3.
