The Hallicrafters Skyrider Antenna is the ferrite-rod "loopstick" antenna system found in the Hallicrafters TW-1000 and TW-2000 portable receivers. It is detachable and is held into place by two clips on the inside back of the receiver. By unclipping the antenna, it could be positioned for optimum reception.
