    SX-28FCC: Manufactured for the Federal Communications Commission for mobile use ( 14 tube edition ).

    SSR-202: Special SX-28 manufactured for use of the FCC and also possibly the OSS with two IF strips, one of the aligned 5 kHz above the normal IF, the second one 5 kHz below. The incoming signal was split and sent individually to both channels, so the operator could select the less disturbed sideband (informations acc. to John Bryant).
