Wall-mount AM radio. Chassis appears to be from a typical commercial table radio. Ferrite rod antenna mounted on outside of rear metal cover. Built-in clock/timer for automatic operation. Outlet on front panel wired in parallel with radio power for powering accessories with clock/timer.
