Some model 401E receivers use a 6A8G oscillator instead of an EK2G. The changes required are;
- Cathode resistor R2 to 150Ω from 250Ω.
- Plate resistor R7 to 5kΩ from 10kΩ
- C8 to earth instead of grid coil bypass.
