  • Notes
  • 6000B has very little to doo with previous 6000 series. Roll chart is replaced with extensive list of tubes listed in test data book. As bias reading is no longer on bias pot collar, bias adjustment is done on the panel meter in two ranges for much higher precision. There are also only modern sockets; octal, miniature, 5&7 pin nuvistor, novar, compactron and 10(9) pin. Older types of tubes can be checked with apropriate adaptor. Dynamic mutual conductance is measured in 3 ranges; 0-3000, 0-6000, 0-15000 micromhoms. Filament ranges from 1.1 to 50 volts in 16 steps. Noveltys are also; lack of 83 and 5Y3 tubes wich are replaced with diodes, printed circuit boards and earthing terminal on power plug.
