Mono 17" 110 degree CRT 405 line (system A) TV (VHF BandI & Band III) with a separately tuned Band II FM Radio. Similar to 1890 (17"no radio, the 1893 and 1894 are also similar). The 1896 is the 21" version also with FM Radio.
Warning: Live chassis. Aerial isolation capacitors should be safety types.

Uses PCB construction with two main panels. During production different deflection coils used resulting in component changes. Later models also have changes to the TV tuner unit.
