This is another variant on the 68-55 (2232).
The 68-55 (2232) used revised circuitry with the introduction of silicon transistors in the RF and IF stages but germanium transistors in the output stages. A total of 7 transistors.
The 68/2-55 uses 8 silicon transistors and revised circuitry in the AF stages. The circuit board is revised to bring the TO126 output transistors (without heatsinks) onto the board.
The half wave rectified power supply is similar but the output voltage is indicated on the schematic as 24 Volts as compared to the 22 Volts on the 68-55 (2232).
