His Master's Voice Model H5-8E "Jamaica"
Compact battery-operated monaural transistor record player housed in cabinet of moulded Cycolac covered with Vinyl material in tan, grey or charcoal. Swing-up carrying handle.
Features: record player, four-speed with automatic stop; improved governor for constant speed control and greater reliability. Motor has separate six month warranty. Ceramic C1 stereo cartridge and compatible (stereo and mono) stylus will play stereo records without damage to the groove, but monaural effect only.
The three-stage transistor amplifier delivers up to 1 watt at very low distortion through a front mounted 7" x 4' speaker. Operates from eight Eveready Type 1050 batteries (D cells).
Controls: volume and tone controlled by roller type knobs; on-off switching by pick-up arm. Record storage for six 7" records in lid. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
