Further development of the IC-7800. Much improved values for RMDR (Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range), LO (Local Oscillator) phase noise, spectrum scope resolution and many more.
Frequency coverage: Receiver 30 kHz to 60 MHz, transmitter amateur bands 160m - 6m and 137 kHz band (Europe only). Modes of operation: USB, LSB, CW, RTTY, PSK31/61, AM, FM. Transmitter output power: 5 to 200W (AM 5 to 50W). 137 kHz 20dBm requires external power amplifier. Separate second (SUB) receiver with MAIN receiver performance. Four roofing filters: 15, 6, 3, 1.2 kHz. IF filter width selectable/settable 50-3600 Hz (SSB, CW, PSK), 50-2700 Hz (RTTY), 200-10000 Hz (AM). Digital Twin-Bandpass tuning. Manual/automatic notch filter, APF (Audio Peak Filter) for CW, TPF (Twin Peak Filter) for RTTY. Built-in RTTY and PSK decoders. 101 memory channels, SD/USB slots for saving/loading settings resp. Firmware update. Ultrastable OCXO with 0.05 ppm accuracy. Automatic antenna tuner, four antenna connectors selectable.
