Ballast tube K72B. This set is not a conventional receiver, it has no Detector (except AGC), Audio amplifier, or Speaker. Radio stations are converted to an IF frequency within the Broadcast band. This IF signal is amplified & radiated (transmitted) from the set. Other radios nearby are tuned to this frequency & reproduce the station selected by the Tunemaster. The set has 4 pre-set station selector buttons plus a tuning knob with scale.
