Cordless all-transistor BC mantel radio having seven transistors and two diodes, housed in moulded plastic cabinet.
Features: inbuilt Ferrite rod aerial and earth. Operates from one Eveready Type 276P or 2761 may be used but with shoter life expectancy; battery consumption - minimum volume (no signal) 17 mA; maximum, 250 mA.
Tuning range: 525-1636 kHz. Large horizontal dial scale caters for all Australian stations. Dial lights are switched on by pressing button at left-hand side of cabinet and may be used to check condition of battery. (receiver is operated at normal listening volume and when dial lights are switched on, no change or a slight drop in volume indicates that battery is in good condition; a large drop shows battery is nearly discharged; no sound, but resumes whens lights switched off, means battery is discharged and should be replaced.)
- Speaker Magnavox Type 64S1. (6" x 4" elliptical)
- Colour combinations available in Pink/Cinnamon, Grey/Charcoal, Green/Grey & all Ivory.
This radio uses the same circuit board as the Playfellow 41-27 and differs in the case, speaker and the switch for the dial light. Electrical specifications are identical.
