This model uses a synchronous vibrator power unit.
Kriesler offered the “Kriesler Windcharger” to charge the “B” battery for an extra Aus£15 with both this radio and the model 470.
The “Kriesler Windcharger” normaly sold for Aus£21 and was capable of charging a 200AH battery at 10A from a 10mph breeze.
This radio also incorporated a 5A meter in the front panel to show charging current.
