  • The K.W. Viceroy Mark III superceded the Mark II and added an additional crystal to the carrier oscillator to enable coverage of more of the 10m band in two ranges. The Mark III has a built-in power supply, with the function switch (Power / Tune / VW / VOX / MOX) on the front panel. Less often used controls were moved to the rear panel, and the microphone socket is on the front panel.

    Covers the 80m (3.5-4.0 MHz), 40m (7.0-7.3 MHz), 20m (14.0-14.5 MHz), 15m (21.0-21.5 MHz) and 10m (28.0-28.6 and 28.6-29.2 MHz) amateur bands in six ranges.

    Power output is 180 W PEP input on SSB, 150 W on C.W. and 90 W AM.
