- The Lafayette catalog calls this model AM-45 Commander as console and AM-44 Commander as chassis incl. loudspeaker. The Commander is 10 tube AC 3 band Superhet which has an RF amplifier (tube 58) for the braodcasting band only. Wave length is 18 - 50, 75 - 200 m and 200 - 550 m. The models are not listed at Rider's. They have an "Airplane dial", Automatic Volume Control (AVC), continuously variable tone control and a push-pull-parallel output with the 4 tubes 45. Sensivity is better than 2 microvolts per meter and selectivity 64 kc at 10,000 times. They can be had for 220 volts for addl. $ 2.00 extra.
