- Notes
- The Rider's volume 13 of 1942 shows this schematic, drawn February 4, 1936 and writes 5 band battery superhet, but shows 3 bands. The tube 6-1 is a ballast tube which we don't count. The Lafayette catalog notes the following 3 wavebands: BC 200 - 560 m, 66- 187 m and SW 16 - 50 meters. As second detector Lafayette names 25S which is the same as the 1B5 in the schematic.
The list price for C-17 is $ 49.90 and the Lafayette price is $ 24.95 including tubes and 3 conductor cable with 8 prong plug supplied for battery connections, but less batteries. An additional $ 6.05 buys the complete set of batteries, including Burgess A pack. Eveready Air Cell would be an extra $ 2.00. See details for the models of this catalog or summaries.
The later model C-17 is different; 1st tube is 6D6.
