  • Notes
  • The second model in this Lafayette catalog is the model D-38 and the D-38-P (erroniously written as D38-p) as the same model but with the "Personic Ear" included. Text in the catalog: With the "Personic Ear" installed "The loud speaker is silent - only you hear the program. A simple attachment slips under your pillow, under the cushion of your easy-chair or can be held in the hand." It is probably the same chassis as for DA-13 but with only BC 175 - 555 meters - there is no Rider's schematic for the D-38 but for the DA-13. "Annoying fading no distant signals is minimized by the use of automatic volume control"

List price for model D-38 is $ 24.90 and Lafayette price is $ 12.45, as DA13-P with the "Personic air" it has a Lafayette price of $ 18.45. Addl. $ 1.50 for 220-volt AC operation. See details for the models of this catalog or summaries.
