- The Lafayette catalog shows the models as FS-43, a FS-43-P with "Personic Ear" and a FS-44 as export model which incorporates LW from 800 - 2000 meter instead of SW 49 - 180 m as the others. Broadcast is for 180 - 550 m. Text in the catalog: "6 tube AC-DC 2 band Superhet with the 25L8G "beam" power output. It features an illuminated, calibrated vernier dial, electro-dynamic speaker, front-of-panel band switch and built-in aerial. There is no Rider's schematic for the models. Automatic Volume Control. These models have a ballast tube K49C which we don't count as tube - but list it.
List price for model FS-43 is $ 27.50 and Lafayette price is $ 13.75, as FS-43-P with the "Personic air" it has a Lafayette price of $ 17.75 and as export model FS-44 $ 16.75 (instead of list price $ 33.50).
