  • Notes
  • The Leak TL/12 12-watt power amplifier circuit employs a pentode in the first stage, feeding a "long-tailed pair" of triodes. These triodes, in turn, drive a pair of cathode-biased pentodes in the output stage. A comprehensive feedback loop encompassing all three stages enhances performance. This feedback loop is derived from the secondary winding of the output transformer, which offers switchable output impedances ranging from 1.7 to 36 ohms.

Leak touted distortion figures below 0.1% for the TL/12, earning it the nickname "Point One."
The amplifier was also available with a power supply suitable for 110- or 240-volt countries.
