    Comprises two cascade triodes for the first stage, giving high gain with low noise, followed by triode amplifying stages, leading into a cathode follower output stage.

    Bass & treble controls ± 15 dB operating in all positions.

    A low-pass filter provides a fixed slope of not less than 10 dB/octave from turnover frequencies, 9,000 Hz & 7,000 Hz.

    The front panel is off-white with gold and silver control knobs. 

    The Stereo Master Control unit, Mk 1 comprises two Mk 4 circuits.
